Kimbo once got his ass handed to him by a moonlighting Irish Boston cop named Sean “The Cannon” Gannon…Warren, see the fight below, it’s a doozy. No Goldberg, no girls, no music…just brutal. Gannon got all sorts of tawdry press time in the Boston Herald over his underground MMA fighting, making the cover of the paper at least once…

I’ve met Gannon before; he was a friend of a friend that I went to high school with, and they knew each other from UMass.

How I can relate to this article:

-I edited an A&E bio on Mike Tyson last year, in which I learned a lot about boxing (and Mike). Before that, I knew diddly.

-Boxing still doesn’t interest me much, but I can appreciate what’s going on, strategically. I just don’t see how the strategy in the sport will ever overshadow the fact that I’m watching two people beat the shit out of each other.

-The company I edited the piece for is now releasing some direct-to-video MMA dvd.

-I’m not really interested in that stuff, either, but I have to admit, I did enjoy BLOODSPORT way back when I saw it. It was a world I had no idea existed, and it intrigued me (though it’s probably a horrible film.)

I am not a boxing fan, although I have enjoyed a fight from time to time (usually because there was betting involved) so I can’t really respond much to the content of the blog, although I enjoyed it.

But I watched that Van-Damme video you also provided, and it reminded me of something I had seen on YOUTUBE a while ago as well.

Not only is it similar, but the star is wearing a similar outfit as Van-Damme. I will provide the link below…
